It is a freight and forwarding operator rather than a courier with its own vans on your street. Like most operators in this segment it sells to merchants and marketplaces rather than to shoppers, so the name generally appears for the first time on a tracking page rather than at checkout.
Parcels are consolidated in China, moved on an international leg, and then completed by a carrier in the destination country. European destinations are common on this network, and the closing events on a shipment frequently carry the destination carrier's wording rather than FXYL's.

Yes. FXYL numbers are four letters, ten digits and two more letters, and the four leading letters vary: measured over the last 150 days, NUDE and STKQ are each around 40% of them and STK — one character shorter — about 13%. This is the single most confusing thing about the carrier: the letters on your number look nothing like the name on your order, so searching the prefix rarely leads anywhere. The number is valid — paste it into a multi-carrier tracker as-is.
The usual pause is the international leg. After the export scan a parcel can show nothing for days while it flies and clears customs, then resume when the destination carrier picks it up. A second, shorter pause happens at that handover itself. If your parcel has an arrival scan in your country and then goes quiet for more than about a week, the destination carrier is the one to ask about, not FXYL.
FXYL manages the China-side collection and the international transport, but the parcel is delivered by a local carrier or postal operator in your country. That is why the final events often read in your own language and name a carrier you recognise. Some sellers can also give you a separate local tracking number for that last leg, which is worth asking for if the FXYL number has stopped moving.
It is a working cross-border service, and sparse tracking on economy lanes is a characteristic of the service level rather than evidence that a parcel is lost.
