Evri is the United Kingdom's largest dedicated parcel delivery company. It was called Hermes UK until March 2022, when it rebranded to Evri, and it grew parcel volumes by 14.9% to more than 730 million in the 53 weeks to the end of February 2024. It delivers to the doorstep, to ParcelShops in convenience stores and to lockers, and it carries both retailer parcels and items sent by individuals.
In May 2025 DHL eCommerce UK and Evri announced they would merge, and the UK's Competition and Markets Authority approved the deal unconditionally in September 2025. The two companies say the combined group will deliver over one billion parcels and a further one billion business letters a year, bringing together more than 30,000 couriers and van drivers, 12,000 colleagues and a fleet of 8,000 vehicles, with DHL eCommerce UK to be rebranded Evri Premium during 2026. For anyone holding a tracking number today the practical point is simple: your existing number keeps working, and a parcel may appear under either brand while the networks come together.
Evri is also one of the carriers that finishes the journey for parcels that started somewhere else. An order posted in China or mainland Europe can travel most of the way under a different company's number and only enter the Evri network for the last leg inside the UK, which is why the first Evri scan is sometimes days after the seller said the item had shipped.

A few are fifteen characters or begin with a different letter. Copy the whole string from the retailer's dispatch email, without spaces, and the carrier is detected automatically.

Numbers already issued keep working. If your order shows one brand in the shop's email and the other on the tracking page, it is the same parcel moving through a network that is being joined together.
Evri publishes scan events and, on the day of delivery, an estimated time window for many parcels. It does not publish a continuous public map of the courier's van, so no tracking site can display one. What 24hTrack shows you is every scan Evri releases for your number, newest first, so you can see where the parcel actually was and when.
A gap between scans is normal: a parcel is only scanned when it passes a fixed point, so time in a van or waiting at a depot leaves no trace. Across parcels of all carriers that were eventually delivered and tracked on 24hTrack, the median longest silence was about four days, and roughly one in four went a full week with no scan and still arrived. For a UK domestic parcel, start asking the retailer once it has been quiet for about a week after the last scan; they are the ones who can open a claim with Evri.
Evri delivers to ParcelShops in local convenience stores, to lockers and to a nominated safe place, so a delivery scan does not always mean the parcel reached your hands. Open the full event list and read the wording of the last scan: it usually names the shop, the locker or the place the courier used. Take the tracking number and photo identification if you need to collect it. If the described place is wrong or empty, contact the retailer you bought from, because the delivery contract is theirs.
