The most recognisable form starts with DZT followed by ten digits, sometimes with a two-letter ending. You will also see references that repeat the prefix as DZTDZT, and a share of parcels that carry no letters at all. Because the formats vary this much, the number your seller gave you is the authoritative one — do not try to normalise it.
Two ordinary silences account for most cases: the days between a label being created and the parcel actually being collected, and the international leg, where economy shipments produce few or no scans for one to two weeks. Silence that starts after an arrival scan in your own country is the exception worth pursuing with the local carrier.
A local carrier or the national post in the destination country handles the final leg. DZT covers the origin and international portion, which is why the closing tracking events often name a carrier you recognise instead. If the DZT number stops after arrival, ask the seller whether a separate local number was issued.
A DZT number on its own is not a warning sign — limited public information is normal for parcel consolidators, which sell to businesses rather than advertising to shoppers. Judge the order rather than the carrier: a shipment with a first scan and an eventual arrival scan is moving normally, while a number that never produced any scan past the seller's delivery window is a matter for the marketplace's buyer protection.
First check the mailbox, parcel locker, porch and with neighbours or anyone at the address, and give it a day: the delivery scan is sometimes recorded shortly before the parcel is actually handed over. If it still has not appeared, contact the seller you ordered from.
